Common phrases in Catalan & Spanish

Neus

Catalonia is an unique area within Spain, with multiple official languages. Amongst those are Spanish (Castellano) and Catalan, which are the languages predominantly used in Barcelona and other parts of Catalonia.

Although many associate Catalan only to Spain, it is also spoken in other countries! For example, it is the official language of Andorra, which is located in southwest Europe. Catalan is also spoken in some parts of France, which are considered to be part of northern Catalonia.

All in all, there are about 7.3 million people who speak Catalan and 9.8 million who understand it!
